A really nice way to end my trip. Excellent location, amazingly nice staff, lovely views of the town. Location just next door to Right in the city centre, and Malmö for 1 night on the way to Copenhagen. Nearby Plockepinn Restaurant & Bar - great place to chill out. A wide range of goodies for breakfast.

Good location in the city centre, comfortable rooms.
It lies next to a nightclub so expect quite some noise in the weekends (at least in the room where we stayed)

I liked that the hotel lobby was beautiful and air conditioned. Breakfast was also excellent!
The rooms are incredibly hot. There is no air flow at all in the room, not even from a fan. It's just hot stuffy air. And if you open the windows, you hear every single conversation at street-level, even if you're on the fourth floor. It's super noisy. So either you're in a hot, stuffy room or a really noisy one. A no win situation!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was amazing, right in the heart of the city. Our room was spacious and clean, with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast spread was delicious and satisfying. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and catered to our needs. The highlight of our stay was the friendly and attentive service. Despite minor issues with the internet, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the First Hotel Mortensen. I would highly recommend this hotel for a great experience in Malmo.

The staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel provided a full, delicious breakfast, including herrings! - very Scandinavian. My single room was small but absolutely adequate with a large ensuite bathroom, parquet floors, was tastefully decorated and had windows that opened - an unexpected positive. The location was just by the picturesque Lilla Torget, the centre of the old part of Malmö and only a short stroll from outdoor restaurants, design shops and the general shopping area. It was very convenient to the central station, from which you can travel by train to Copenhagen or any Swedish cities.
Just two comments - 1/the wireless internet to the room didn't function - it is provided by a separate company, however, the hotel refunded the cost of the "Cloud" card without problem and their own internet, which was available on the ground floor without cost, was fast and reliable. 2/Parking can be a problem - there is no parking on site and the hotel is in a pedestrian only area, so a short walk with luggage over cobblestones is required (this is not a disadvantage, it just needs to be noted by potential patrons) - closest parking is ~200 metres away

The breakfast is great. There is a machine to make the fresh orange juice by oneself with the fresh oranges! I like it.
This hotel do not provide free wifi in the room and it costs 99 sek for 24 hours. Just like a common 4 star hotel, the staff there is not so kind but the will help you all the time.

Great location! Just a short walk to the train station and local shops. The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. The breakfast each morning was a highlight, with lots of homemade options and fresh fruits available. We also appreciated the fact that there was always tea, coffee, cakes and fruits available throughout the day and evening.
While the room was small, it had a cute and cozy feel to it. However, it did get quite chilly in the room, even after asking for the temperature to be adjusted.

We loved this hotel! The best aspects were its location in the city center, close to transportation, and with parking facilities available. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was so delicious with a lot of food to choose from.
No negatives from this hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.

I am sorry but it is hard to say what I liked.
I stayed in the Nobel room and it felt like being in an old house. The floor was not cleaned, the sofas did not feel clean enough to sit on, the frames on the walls were not straight: the overall impression was a bit creepy. Probably me and my partner were not ´Nobel´enough to appreciate its charm. Moreover the breakfast was poor and there was no much choice for a milk-allergic person like me. Nevertheless internet was not for free in the room (although it was one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel). I do not recommend it to young couples.

Good value for money, good location. The only problem was that the room was really cold, and the radiators could not be turned on. Except from that we would gladly reommend the hotel!

The staff were friendly and always ready to help. They offered nice homemade breakfasts. the location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to many places of interest in the city center.
The room was not properly ventilated and had a small window, making it feel dark and stuffy. the room lacked modern furnishings, and the floor was not entirely clean.

The breakfast every morning was beautiful and delicious. The staff were extremely helpful. The wifi was entirely reliable. The location made it very easy to walk to almost everywhere I wanted to go.
This is pretty minor: the Internet connection was too slow for a video call. Otherwise I was very happy.
